Come as you are, when you are able.

August 19 to September 9

6:15 to 7:00pm, doors open and music starts at 6:00, chapel and prayer garden open until 8pm.

This mid-week Prayer and Meditation Service is designed to help you turn your attention towards God and find spiritual renewal in the middle of your busy week. It will be an opportunity to listen to a few minutes of sacred music, hear a passage of scripture read, and enjoy the silence of meditative prayer. To pray sincerely and persistently is to
continuously sink one’s roots into something
deeper than oneself. F.C. Happold All are welcome, no experience or particular knowledge are needed or expected. Attendees will not be required to speak; individuals who prefer to remain anonymous and silent will certainly feel comfortable doing so. We realize that your schedule can be busy and unpredictable; regular attendance and punctuality are not expected -- come when you are able.

Why Wednesday evenings?

Wednesday is, for most of us, the middle of the busy work week and a time when we are most in need of spiritual renewal and a deeper sense of connection with God.

Why a Prayer and Meditation Service?

Spiritual practices such as prayer and meditation can help us turn our attention towards God and experience a deeper sense of his presence.  We can hope that in the midst of the challenges we face, this experience will provide a deep sense

of peace and a renewed sense of mission,

helping us finish the week well.

What can you expect?

We will begin with a few minutes of  peaceful music, followed by a reading of scripture and a period of meditative prayer and silence.  There will be prayer throughout -- mostly silent  receptive prayer, not vocal prayer such as prayer requests.  People can arrive whenever their schedule permits; the music will begin fifteen minutes before the service, and the chapel and prayer garden will remain open for prayer afterwards.
